Request for Leave During Term Time
Headteachers are not be able to grant leave of absence during term time, unless there are very exceptional circumstances.
A new National Framework for attendance comes into effect on 19th August 2024.
Missing School – A pupil’s absence during term time can seriously disrupt their continuity of learning. Not only do they miss the teaching provided on the days they are away, they are also less prepared for the lessons building on that after their return. There is a consequent risk of under-achievement which we, and you, must seek to avoid.
Please ensure that you let us know before the start of the school day if your child is going to be absent for any reason.
